A sparkle clean is the final clean of a construction or refurbishment project, done after the trades leave and before handover. The name is literal: the job is to take a site from dusty and paint-flecked to showroom standard, ready for the client walkthrough. It goes by other names in adverts, so search listings for builders clean, after builders clean and post-construction clean too.
The work is more physical than domestic cleaning. Expect plaster dust in every corner, paint and silicone spots on glass, and protective film to strip. Crews typically work in teams for a contractor or a specialist post-build cleaning firm, and some sites ask for a CSCS card. Pay in adverts usually sits above domestic rates because of the site conditions and the deadline pressure around handover dates.
