A school never asks the cleaner to pay for their own enhanced check; treat any advert that does as a red flag.
Many are, usually with pay averaged over the year so wages arrive in the holidays too. Some contracts add holiday deep-clean weeks as paid extra hours, which cleaners often take as a bonus block of work in August.
